About Rachelle

Hi, I’m Rachelle.

I have enjoyed living in the Rocklin community for nearly 25 years. As a mother of five children, I have frequently volunteered at my kids’ schools and sports activities. I also own a small business, and as a result, being involved and serving in the community has come naturally.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to give back to our community. I served as the Rocklin High School Parent Club President for three years, coached Rocklin Pony Champion Special Needs baseball team for eight years, have been part of the Rocklin Historic Quarry District Tree Lighting Committee for 10 years, and served as President of the Granite Oaks Site Council for three years. In addition, I founded and currently chair the Crystal Apple Teacher Appreciation Award Night. I have a strong track record of seeing a need, saying “yes, I will help,” and seeing it fulfilled.

I believe in quality public education. It is the cornerstone of the future of our country and crucial to our success. I know most families moved to Rocklin for the quality education Rocklin Unified is well known for. So when the opportunity came up to serve as a school board trustee, many turned to me to apply for the position. I was once again ready to say “yes!” After an application and public interview process, I was unanimously appointed to serve as a trustee starting September 2019, representing 12,000 students and their families, along with 1,200 staff members. I was then elected by the Rocklin community at large in 2020 to serve a four year term. I served as President in 2022 and am currently serving as Vice President.

Serving as a school board trustee means listening to community members’ concerns and seeking solutions to the challenges our district faces to ensure Rocklin remains a great community. I believe our great schools attract great families who will continue to make Rocklin a special place.

I enjoy making frequent visits to schools, listening to students, teachers, and administrators seeking to understand individual concerns and also to celebrate each school’s successes. Being at the schools, spending time with the students and teachers, and watching education happen in real-time has given me an increased perspective of how wonderful our schools are. I love being part of a district that gives so much to our children and families.

I earned a bachelor’s degree in Human, Family and Child Development from Brigham Young University. My husband, Tyler, and I have been married for 28 years, and love calling Rocklin our home.

Please support me for Rocklin School Board Trustee.
